Quick question. Which heads were orignally installed on a c9oe block ?
And what mean the "R" when the stamped 9R501501 into the block?

R means San Jose, CA (actually, Milpapas) factory. F means Dearborn, T was Metuchen, NJ.

They came with c9oe heads, some of the best factory small block Ford heads. I’ve got a scrap set i did some hand porting on.

Ok. So if that block has those heads still on it....its orignal and / or revised,refurbished,overhaul???? Or worn...

The way to tell if it’s original is to take the heads off and measure the bores, see if it’s been bored over. That’s what I would do. But yes those heads are probably the ones that came on the motor
