2006 Saleen S281 S/C Race/Drag/Drift Car
4.6L Supercharged 3-Valve V8
455 H.P. 420 ft/lbs of Torque
Hours on Engine: 2 hrs
Build Cost: $150,000 Asking $85,000
This Saleen Mustang was specially built by the Saleen factory to compete in professional motorsports. The current pieces the car has are specific to drifting, but many of the components can be used for road racing or drag racing. This car is very close to new condition, showing little wear. The roll-cage is an 8-point, Grand-Am Spec, 1 ¾ inch tubing design. Nascar spec door bars were designed for driver and passenger. The dashboard is a copy of the OEM dash, but in a lightweight fiberglass mold. A fire suppression system was built in as well, with a nozzle pointed at the engine bay, driver, and fuel cell.
This car was built from the ground up and has been stitched and seam welded. This would be an excellent start for anyone who needs a car for Grand-Am Rolex GT Series, Grand-Am Koni Challenge (GS class), Speed GT, N.A.S.A. American Iron and American Iron Extreme, etc.
