Who Dunnit?

Ponyman66

Yak, yak, yak
Okay I was bitching and moaning about being really frustrated over something coming up over the month or two and not getting any progress on the coupe. I also posted that the weather was supposed to suck yet again this weekend. Everyone was really supportive, and I truly appreciate it. That support helped keep my spirits up, but alas, did nothing for getting work done.

Well now I gotta ask, who dunnit?! Done what? Why sent the good juju my way of course!! :yah Yesterday it kept getting dark and cloudy like it was going to rain. I didn't even try to roll anything outside for fear of having to rush it all back in. About 7pm I took one of the dogs out and noticed that while overcast, it never rained and the temps were super! Today began the same and I said screw it, let's do it (I'm just a poet that don't know it! hehehe). One time a dark cloud rolled over and threatened rain. I didn't care! I was well into a roll. I got the cowl all welded up and my son came out to help. I had him dress the welds and I started on rebuilding the upper and lower windshield opening corners. The bottom wasn't bad and only took a half hour or so. The top was total crap and had to be completely rebuilt from scratch. I had it about 2/3rds done when the wife had dinner ready. After coming back out I had several pieces left. The most complex area got all finished when I started to finally loose daylight. I was so thrilled with not only progress, but GOOD progress I stuck with it. I ended up welding and cleaning up the last piece with a work light in one hand and the welder of the grinder in the other! It was total darkness out when I finished and got everything picked up. As such there's no pics tonight, but I'll shoot some tomorrow when I get some daylight and put them on my build thread. I told the wife, screw it, I'm callin' in sick tomorrow (I usually work on Sundays with my current schedule)! I'm on a roll and gotta go with it!

Who ever sent me the good juju..THANK YOU!!! I certainly needed it!! :thu :thu :thu

Midlife was sleeping today...you lucked out. Good work for sure.

Dang it!!! I knew I should have been working on my electrical issue this afternoon....

Good for you man!

That seems to be the way it goes sometimes. Once you get back on a roll then you start getting a lot done fast for a while.

I see Randy woke up from his nap and now claims the good juju! Yeah, the same person that threatened to whip my butt and send more rain! :wtf LOL

The pins DID work, they were off target though. The kids that live next door were running around yelling all day yesterday and today. I just thought it was due to their normal juvenile delinquent behavior!

Yes Kat, it's an AWESOME felling seeing that cowl finally in!! What a relief!

Thanks again so much for keeping my spirits up folks. I really needed it and ya'll were there! I've got progress pics posted on the build thread. I actually knocked off a little early so I could get them shot. I had about another 45 minutes of working daylight left but I figured if I showed up without them again, I'd be the one getting shot! LOL

We're on a roll now!!! :thu
