starting issues

ok so i installed a new edelbrock carb/performer intake. now when i go to start i get a weak start like a stumble every once in a while. doesnt happen all the time. its almost struggling to start. any suggestions? we tuned the carb it seems to be running really well. only thing im not to happy with is the idle, its a little high. could it be that the starter is going bad? it wouldnt be a surprise since it is quite old.

What would I have to do to figure that out? Because as of right now the cars timing is great. This never happened with the old carb and intake. And to happen only sometimes, I don't understand. Would a bad vacuum advance cause it?

if the car was running good before the new intake and the dizzy hasn't moved since it was running great it has to be a fuel issue..
