Someone hit My stang

janschutz

Corn Hauler
I co-worker came into my office today and asked me if I knew there was a crease on my passenger quarter panel. Sure enough, someone has hit my stang on the wheel opening lip. Creased it pretty good too. :rant

I will take pictures when my camera is charged.

Why could they not hit the driver side where I have rust to fix? :shrug

I will go by a body shop today to get an estimate to see if it is worth going through the insurance claim process.

Do you use this car as a daily driver? If so, I guess that's part of price you pay. Nonetheless, that still sucks.

Yes this is my DD. And yes, it still sucks. I usually park out in the boonies but looks like someone still got me.

That sucks! wtf is wrong with people. :char

I just don't get how people can be so inconsiderate of other people's property. My Volvo has been hit, dinged, and scratched many times by stupid people.Working in retail is rough on a vehicle.
About a month ago someone backed into it, got out looked at the damage, then got back in their car and if I had not seen them they probably would have just drove off. I was standing in my store watching as it happened. :rant

Picture of the damage below. The kicker is that just 2 weeks ago, I rolled all my fender lips. Now that work is wasted on that wheel.

Is that white paint on the wheel well from the car that hit you? I would be going in search of the vehicle if it is. I would love to mess up their day with a call in for hit & run. That might get them to fess up and pay.

I have already checked out all the cars and trucks at work. No match. I do not believe there is much chance of finding out who did it.

Ahhhhh.................you just rolled the fender to hard.........

Really, that sucks. Daily driver or not, it happens. Make sure the repair includes the fender rolling depending on how you go about the fix....insurance or not.

Dang, that really does suck that someone would hit a nice car, vintage or such, then just leave. The character is sorely lacking in these instances. :soapboxrant Somebody did the same to my '08 F150 in the rear just in behind the wheel, I go "manic" on that stuff, they snuck off too!

Sorry to hear about that, John. I know how you feel. Someone creased my rear quarter on my Lexus at target. The pisser is Target wouldn't even let me view the video without a court order! I should have sued, but it just isn't worth the hassle.

That hit and run is the reason I will not have a new car for myself. It's easier to let it go when your car isn't new. I'll save the emotions for my classic cars, which of course won't be DDs. The bright side is that you'll get much more enjoyment out of yours, since you drive it daily!

Got the estimate, $1200. Yikes. State Farm told me to file a hit and run report so it will be filed as an uninsured motorist claim and will not impact my insurance.
