Smokey Bones Cruise Night BG, KY

I am rarely in town during the week but I was today. I took my wife out to eat at Smokey Bones in Bowling Green and they have a cruise night on Monday nights. There was a lot of the typical cars but a few caught my eye. A small block Chevy powered Porsche and a SVO Turbo 4 banger Pinto wagon still in the box!

+1 On the Fairlane. My cousin had a 66 GTA 390 back in the day, so they always bring fond memories for me. The Pinto not so much, we almost got one. :hide Dad got a Granada instead. Funny story about when we were looking at Pintos, I had my 67 then and my keys with me of course. So I was sitting in this Pinto took the keys out of the ignition and put my Mustang key in and turned it. :wth I did not start it, but the key worked. But it was a stick, and my key would not come out. :roul I did not know about the button that had to be pushed on standard transmission cars. So I took the key from the Pinto and left my 67 Mustang key in the ignition. :hs

Yes they could start it, the key was the same. The Pinto key worked in my coupe. :shrug The only thing was the new Pinto owner got an 8 year old key, and I got a brand new one. :steer

That VW has got to be the only car in KY with surfboards on the roof...where's the wave?
I like the pinto, too bad the SVO scoop couldn't be moved back a little, looks awkward that far forward but it's got to line up with the air intake I guess.
