Hlp needed shipping a 66 mustang roof from Virginia to california, can anyone help me in the right direction what companies out there can deal with this type of shipping.thanks javed

no its not boxed up probably have bubble wrap wrapped around it, any recommendations of which trucking companies or couriers that transport large car stuff like this

I used Conway trucking for a set of seats. Worked ok.....$123 from Atlanta to Panama City. Watch the zip code.....I could have saved $38 by having them dropped at my daughters house......less than 5 miles difference......but different zip code. Did not know that until delivered.

Also, hang on to the proof of payment on the delivery. They said they had a breakin and tried to bill me twice.....second time thru a collection agency. Once they saw I had a copy of the receipt, they said no problem....inner office mess up.

In the long run, I would use them again.....just file the paper work. Time was dead on and no damage at all.

I would take the extra step to make sure it is somewhat protected otherwise finger will start pointing if any damage claims arise.

I used shipanycar.com to ship a 95 stang from virginia beach to Tucson. Great experience. also you can use http://www.transportreviews.com/Company ... ar-llc.asp to see reviews of any shipper you decide to use. It was very useful and I actually canceled an order to ship after discovering transport reviews. The link is for a review of shipanycar.com, but you can go to the home page and search any company.

Great time for a video just before it goes on the truck, hi def for sure.

rich already been in touch with chris at mustang auto transport as there are 2 stangs to get shipped to CA from there too.thanks javed

I'm confused. Are you shipping a car or a roof of a car? If the latter, I really don't think you need a auto transporter to ship a roof top. If decently packaged up or palletized most any trucking company will take on the job. Then again it might not hurt to get a couple quotes from them as well.

i have a roof there, a friend of mine just bought 2 stangs which he would rather ship from our normal shipper in ramona ca as the cars are full of parts, sending them to east coast might be cheaper but the shippers there dont want any parts put in cars due to theft/insurance etc.

If at all possible, ship it from a dock and to a dock.... know anyone that works at a factory where they would be okay with this? It will help eliminate extra charges... plus, if you can get someone that has an account and discounts with the carrier, they might pay the bill and collect from whomever works there, thus passing the discount on to you!

Not sure any of that made sense. I run the shipping and receiving departments where I work... I'm no expert, but know a few tidbits.
