Shelby?

Met a guy at work. Don't work directly with him but someone told him I have A Mustang.
Tells me he has a 1966 Shelby.
We chat about Mustangs a bit.
Then I ask what color is your Shelby?
Says he - "Original white with blue stripes."
Me - "how long have you had it?"
He - "just over three years and I just finished a complete restoration"
Me - "Really? Where'd you get it? Who did the restoration?"
He - "Bought it locally, paid $10,000. I did most of the work."
Me (starting to think I'm being played) - "that's an incredible deal how'd you find it."
He - "want ad, but it wasn't a Shelby then."

DOH! Hey bud, you still don't have a Shelby.

I was thinking to tell him I also have a "clone/replica/fake" but decided I didn't want to engage him in anymore BS. At no time in the conversation did he even show any interest in what Mustang I might have.
