WOW....just read this from an Az. paper...
A California man was killed, Monday morning, at around 8:00am, when his 1950 Rolls Royce two-door sedan went out of control and crashed into another vehicle
along Interstate-10, near San Simon.
Jesse Donald Parton, 71, of Los Angeles was traveling eastbound along Interstate 10, Monday morning, when his black Rolls Royce drifted left onto the freeway median – began to rotate counterclockwise – the vehicle crossed the median into a westbound lane of the freeway and was hit by a 2002 Honda traveling in the opposite direction.
The Roll Royce came to rest on the north shoulder of the westbound lane and burst into flames.
Parton was ejected from the Roll Royce.
The 2002 Honda was driven by a 37-year-old woman – also from California – who was traveling with a 68-year-old woman and a 6-year-old child.
Mr. Parton was flown by helicopter to University Medical Center in Tucson where he died from his injuries.
The three passengers in the 2002 Honda were also flown to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
San Simon Fire and Cochise County Deputies were called to assist in the accident.
The westbound lane of Interstate 10, near San Simon was closed for three hours, Monday morning, to complete the accident investigation.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation by DPS.
