Rice Humor

GAH, I hate ricers. There's a house down the road that has 2 civics and an integra, all of them look halfassed and are way too loud. One civic is painted this awful shade of orange and has no muffler. It's like a giant farting pumpkin. The integra has no hood(last time I saw it up close)...and no muffler as well. Then the last civic is about 6 different colors, what looks like a top fuel dragster wing, and a hood scoop. These morons also do not sleep. All hours of the night, they run up and down the road, wide open. It rattles everything in the house. I'm used to noise since I live within walking distance of Memphis Int'l airport, and Fedex planes come through all day and night. But those cars are ridiculous.

I can't wait to get the stang running because I fully plan to take it down the road, park in front of their house and raise hell.....with open headers.
 
Jamie, I have some noise makers that will scare the he[[ out of people at 2:00am. The key is to be louder and more obnoxious to make your point. Open headers will work also.

Lmao, haven't seen that one. The minivan part was hilarious since I had one want to "race" from a stoplight to where two lanes merged one Sunday while driving the Sedona back from church...with the family. Dude was pi$$ed. My wife, who generally rakes me over the coals for something like this, could not stop laughing the rest of the way home.
 
I hate ricers too, however I do have some respect for the real import performance guys.

One of my customers is a performance oriented shop that does a lot of work on subarus, mitsubishi's, audi's, etc. A few months back they were working on a custom Datsun 510 for a customer. You laugh, but they did an SR20DET conversion (later model Nissan 4 banger turbo motor) that put ~350hp to the wheels. Full custom suspension, custom rear crossmember, tig welded intercooler setup, custom dash, roll cage, and 245-wide tires. The car is an absolute beast. The only externally visible clues are the roll cage, wheels, and slightly larger than normal exhaust. And the turbo whine.

I think they call those guys "tuners". I respect the guys that do it right. Their car of choice is just different than ours. I saw a good one y'day but couldn't get the phone out to snap a pic. Some little civic with some f'ed up paint job that was "supposed" to look like the wind had peeled all his paint off. The whole freakin' car. Well, all of it except the scooped carbon fiber hood. It was a beauty for sure.

I have a buddy in the local car club that is really into the Nismo Z cars and he has one that is pretty darn nice with lots of non-stock tweaks. I find it ironic that he works at a Corvette shop though, LOL!

It's the cheap a$# civics that sound like they need to go to the exhaust shop to stop them from farting down the road that drive me crazy.
 
A buddy of mine used to have a Supra that was nothing short of completely wicked. Aside from the aftermarket wheels and exhaust it looked normal. It was literally "get in, shutup, hang-on".
 
I've wanted a late 90's twin turbo supra ever since I first saw one. Those cars are stupid fast stock, but get insane when you tweek them. Same goes for the R33 Nissan Skyline.

This is why I don't dis supras.
