Repro Hipo manifold woes

Ok, so I ordered some repro hipo manifolds from Mustangs Unlimited a while ago. When I got them, I looked at them to see if the misalignment problem had been fixed. Apparently it wasn't. The driver side manifold looks great, but the passenger side has misaligned ports.

Note how the centerline of the boltholes is slightly below the center of the ports. It should be slightly ABOVE the center of the ports. MU told me they sent the defective ones back to the manufacturer and they sent them back saying the manifolds are just like the originals and will work if no gaskets are used. The misalignment puts the top edge of the port very close to the edge of the gasket. By any chance, is there anyone who has an original pass. side hipo manifold who can check and see how the holes line up? I'm thinking I'll just take the defective one and make it work, but part of me wants to get a refund for them to make a point, especially if I can show that the mfr. is wrong.

Frank,
So sorry to see this. I got Red's repro Hipo mannies from Dallas Mustang and they work and fit like a champ. Sounds you need
some Olallieberry Syrup to help soothe your pain.

My dad just put some on his 66 and he has 69 351W heads. I will have to ask him if noticed this, I don't know where he ordered them from.

This is a real old issue. There probably is a Chinese factory with a thousand of these bad castings. See this thread from another site:

I used a mini-mill to elongate the bolt holes up, and to elongate the ports down just a bit. I used new gaskets to use as a template.
