One more story from the Knotts week-end

On our way home along Hwy 101 we stopped at Buellton for gas. I had left the group back at Oxnard to visit my mother. So after filling with gas I went to the rest room which required the proverbial key on a pipe. When I walk out I see a young guy sitting in my car. :wtf Then I see a young blonde woman taking pics of him in there with my wife walking on the other side of the car talking on her cell phone casually. Oh I get it....another Mustang fan.

Of course I walk up with a :wtf look but knowing what was happening. Seems Daniel and his girlfriend Amelia are visiting from Australia and he has a '67 Mustang at home he is restoring. So we talk and Amelia's father walks up also. Seems they were also getting gas when I drove up. They are on holiday and were coming from LA (told them they missed a great car show) and headed for SanFran with a stop in Morro Bay. So more pics in around the car and the engine of course. We told him about StangFix so hopefully he will make himself known here when he gets back home. My wife goes in the car and produces a small model of the Bullitt Mustang with Steve McQueen figure (we got it in the gift exchange at Sat's dinner, sorry to whom-ever gave it to me but it made Daniel happy to receive such a gift from a stranger) and gave it to him. Then my wife goes back again and produces a Knotts FFF event t-shirt (bought for her co-worker...oh well) and gives it to him.
We part ways with them staying until I start up and drive away.

Needless to say they were happy and so were we. As my wife said, "we needed some good Karma after this trip". I totally agreed. We then got on Hwy 101 with them following in their little Nissan cube thing, I waved them by, let them get ahead a ways and then stomped on it, passing them with speed and a roar. :thu
I backed off and we stayed within sight until they exited for Morro Bay and waved them good-bye. :steer :steer

That was the last event of our week-end. :bowdown

Good story......happened upon events like that once in a while in the past....sure makes you feel good.

Nice story Mike, and yes...it was some good karma. I just hope it was enough to offset the bad!

Well I'm glad that ended with a happy note, when I first started reading I thought there was going to be blood involved.
I love inspiration...Good job!

Atta' Boy Mike. :thu :thu Totally Cool. Kinda wondering where it was headed after "some guy was sitting in my car" myself
