New door skin arrives

Was told no more work on the car until the living room gets painted and some other small projects get done. That was after I ordered this. It was waiting on the porch when I got home from the Home Depot after getting the paint samples the wife wanted. It's the Dynacorn skin. It does seem heaver than the couple cheaper priced ones I sent back felt. CJ's must order them one at a time as it took 7 days to ship. Can't wait to finish the living room so I can get started again!

Hang them on the wall in the living room...

Sleeping in the garage isn't an option. Although, hanging the fenders nose to nose and the doors behind them would solve some space problems in the garage................

i used the replacement skins from CJ Pony's on my 69. Great fit, the only problem Ive ran into is the holes for the side mirrors are much bigger then the original door skins. Its been a problem trying to find the correct size course screw to fit in the bigger hole also. Ive had alot of trips to the hardware store just for the mirrors. I still havent found the right size yet but I believe its gonna be an M7 size screw. Ill let you know when I get the M7's and test them out.

Cool. One of the reasons I got the Dynacorn skin and not their reproduction. Supposedly everything is the right size.

Dave,I was able to get a few minutes in the garage this morning. I decided to measure the holes with my digital calipers. The original door still has the barrel nuts in place,so I couldn't get a reading off the door yet. these are give or take a few as I was holding the camera and calipers at the same time.

this is the big hole for the remote mirror
