So, long story short this was my old truck when I was 19-20. I bought it back today. Been sitting for the past 15 years with the occasional start up. Happy she's back. This will be my boys truck. [IMG][IMG]

awesome! I know the feeling. At 50 years old I still have my first car, a 71 F100 sitting in the back of the house. I was going to build it for my son, but instead we built the fastback. Make sure you post updates on this one too!

Yeah, I was building another prior to the mustang. As liked those trucks and always wanted this one back. Guess that's why I was building the other one.

I'm stoked. Like a kid lol.

Just think of the crappy work the previous owners did to it...feel free to curse at him. *G*

Lol... sitting has not been nice to her. She's a little rough, but I'll guarantee after the work I put into the stang this ain't nothing.

She's on the back burner for awhile. The mustang takes precedent ;)

Tried to get her started and the starter was dragging hard. After cranking for awhile the starter was smoking. Looks like it's time for a mini starter. 45 bux and she might start...

Nice! Made me reflect on re-obtaining the 1962 Corvair Station Wagon my parents had. It is in use in Arizona, repainted with turquoise blue with a white top and turquoise interior. I'd love to re-obtain it.

How the hell do you know where that car is? Would seem like it would have disappeared off ones radar a long time ago?

Gave the car to my neighbor at the time. His son is living in AZ. You can run, but you can't hide!

I'd love to have a 67-72 F100 or 73-79 (I used to have a 79 F250 4x4) but after having this 72 Cheyenne I have really started to like it! It's been a decent truck although it's more FORD (Fix Or Repair Daily) than any Ford I have owned! But parts are cheap and its easy to work on. Plus it's famous, it's been in a music video

Got any extra suspension parts Craig? This one is 6 lug drum on all 4 corners. Thinking to convert to later model 5 lug disc. Need parts and rear end...

That sux on a couple levels lol. Probably be better and cheaper in the long run to keep it 6 lug.

I know where the car is because I gave it to my old next door neighbor as payment for doing the bodywork on my Mustang. He fixed the Corvair up and his son now has the car in AZ.
