MSN's "Top 10 Muscle Cars"

You should read what McCahill wrote in 1965 about the Vette vs, the Cobra 427 and the GT 350.....he wasn't very nice toward the Vette.

Even back then they were very over rated.

I'd agree with all of them except the 65 GTO (might get flamed for this). It just doesn't have the muscle look/curves like all other cars on that list. Some say it was the first muscle car but to me its a classic car with a big motor.

Now I'll have to go back and read McCahill's writeup of the 65 GTO to see if he was kind or not. He seemed to favor the Fords though.

I have the GTO issue too.

That was my favorite car on the list, although I do wish it was a '64. That was the first true musclecar.

I feel that a 69 GTO Judge would be better suited for that list, but its all good :thu

They already have the Buick equivalent to the Judge....

Besides the Chevelle, even though roughly the same body and car as the Judge or Buick is better, IMHO. (Having owned both a 70 El Camino and Chevelle)

Well, you probably wont get flamed here on a Mustang site (but drop that grenade on a Pontiac site..), but most consider the "Goat" as the first. I agree a '69 would have been a more muscular looking car, I personally like the '66-7 best.
