Mini tachometer installation

I thought they stopped making those, seems I read they were on BO from every supplier. The fleabay seller Retrogauge hasn't sold anything since 2009 as far as i can find. I see MU lists them for $140! now. Glad I bought one a few years ago for ~$80, wish I would have stuck with the 6K version but switched to the 8K, kind of cramped numbers.

I installed on a few months ago, Mustangs unlimited has them. One of the best mods I've done.

Do your self a favor and replace your bulbs with LEDs while your in there.

These came out about 2 months after I completed my clock gauge tach conversion. I was pretty pissed because it would've saved me a lot of effort.

Based on some previous forum advice, I picked up an 80's Jeep CJ tach, tore the housing apart, and hacked it into my cluster. It took some work with a dremel, but it turned out pretty well and matches the rest of the dash pretty closely.

I did the same with a VDO tach that matched the other guages pretty well. Not quite as well as the Jeep tach, though!

Seems like an 'upgrade' I would be interested in but all I can find on the MU site is the Tach for a 6 cylinder.
