Here is the last piece of my Opentracker knock-off suspension, the LCA's:

New repro arm w/ washers tacked on for hole saw pilot:

Cutting and Cut:

Machine the sleeves, first time making an internal snap ring groove:

Weld in the sleeves:

Here are the bearings, stainless steel, Teflon lined, static rated at 30,000lbs:

Should probably replace that ball joint with something decent...

That's funny... not retired, 2 boys, 3 & 5... So I pretty much have stopped watching TV at night, and I spend an hour or 2 in the garage instead when I have the energy...

I do the same thing - but can only do so much as the garage is below the kids bedrooms. So noise has to be somewhat minimal at night.

Yep - Close to it. The load rating on ours says 32,000lbs, but hey, what's 2,000lbs among friends.
