Is there a probem with the "buddy" list?

The system sent me a notice as a friend is requesting to put me on his "buddy" list. However, the link in the email notification to click on to accept or deny the request opens a "buddy" list screen but the screen immediately always locks up and I have to shut down Stangfix. Is this an issue with the system or is it on my side?

Works on my machine (a line I use a lot at work).

I just accepted one over the weekend and it worked ok. I remember there was something a little hinky about it and it took me a few minutes to figure it out, but after that it worked fine. Don't remember what the hinky part was.
 
Just what does the buddy list suppose to do? Remind you of how few buddies you really have?
