I just got back from visiting with Ethan, the kid with leukemia who wanted cards for Christmas. I've got a couple pics I'll post but the amount of cards was CRAZY!!! The 1750 number the lady gave me last night.......nothing. I spent about an hour with him and his mom and dad and she told me she stopped counting yesterday at 6,060. Yes, that's six thousand. With our drop off it put him over 6,500. His room was covered and the mail carriers had been leaving their letter carriers. There were 7 or 8 of those plastic mail carrier things stacked in a corner that they hadn't opened yet. The hospital had obtained authorization from the parents to tell people calling in that he really was a patient there. People have been calling in from other countries to verify this was not a hoax. It was pretty cool to say the least. We took a snowman window cling that all our employees had signed down to him also. It was about 4 ft tall and when we gave it to him his mom just kind of got speechless. She told us he had just mentioned the day before how he would not be able to make a snowman if it snowed. I'll get the pictures uploaded but to everyone who mailed, emailed, prayed, etc, thanks. I think this guy's Christmas wish came true. No telling what the final total will be.
