I found the VIN on my toploader

I thought I'd post pictures for anyone wondering where they might find the VIN on their transmission:

It's on the underside of the transmission and would be visible without removal.

I was pretty sure the number would match my VIN, I don't think this transmission has ever been messed with.

So Frank are you going to post "Made you look!" :yah after I crawl under my coupe to look at my toploader. :roll

j/k But I have had it out several times and do not remember ever seeing the vin stamped on that location. When I bought it in 1975 it had 95k on the odometer, so I am assuming that it is the original tranny.
