Gauge cluster

Looking at a JME cluster, have the opportunity to get a used one w/the brushed aluminum insert for a pretty good deal. Had thought of doing my own with the stock cluster in the past, this would allow me to keep the woodgrain inserts. If I went with the brushed aluminum one I would try to make a matching one for the clock cluster on the passenger side and possibly the door panels. I think this might tie in pretty good with the rims I am using, opinions? Or would it look out of place? I had talked with JME and they want 250 to 300 to swap the aluminum for a woodgrain panel? I can possibly get this cluster for what the gauges will cost me. The down side to this cluster is no speedometer cable comes with it and I will need to get new sending units for the oil and water gauges. Add for it states no exchanges. What would you do? A little over 800 mile on the cluster, seller states he went back with a stock one. A fellow Stangfixer looked at it for me and said it looks good.

We have 2 69 mustangs we are doing, we will making a complete package for them. We will have a new gauge cluster and matching pieces, we plan on making the first ones in carbon because that is what both customers want. Rich.

I have not started on them yet. Just finishing the 68 coupe headliner, then we are starting on the 65-66 fastback, then the coupe. We have had a lot of people wanting the 67-70 fastback headliner. This takes up a lot of my time. Rich.
