Fender to Cowl Bracket

kb3

Well-Known Member
I was just visiting my 65 in the paint shop and the guy there said I was missing the two 90 degree brackets that allow the fender to mount to the cowl. I believe these are the ones that the bolt is accessed through the kick panel, but I didn't take it apart so I am not sure. They are missing and I can not seem to find them online anywhere. I found a picture of one on ebay at the below link.

Can anyone help?

Kat: your link is not the right cowl bracket. This goes well down the cowl along the door jamb for the fender and fender bolt through the door; your link is for the bracket to match the fender apron on top to the cowl.

Any Mustang junk yard would have these.

That is what I was figuring I would have to do....now to find one near Modesto.

Just for visual reference Kat, he is referring to the one halfway up the cowl wall with the access hole cut out.

In a pinch if you can't wait, you can make some out of angle iron. But you should be able to find some somewhere.
