DNE where was your Mustang?

guruatbol

Always on vacation!
I saw a car that was just like DNEs car I think in Colorado on Wednesday last week. But since I had food poisoning I was unable to post. I went from Keystone, SD to Denver, CO via Ft. Laramie and Torrington, WY. then I went from Denver to Laramie, WY and then to Jackson, WY via highway 191.

I was in an MCI E4500 motorcoach which was all white with no logos....

Because I was unable to post the same day, I can't remember which day and which city, but since it was a 67/8 that was orange with two black stripes and a pretty cool Mustang and looked just like DNEs car, I (to quote a character in Dirty Harry) Gots to know.

So where were you last week between Wednesday and Friday, DNE?

I have a twin??

lol, Hey Mel!
No, my poor little mustang is in the garage here in Houston, doesn't get out much! however since I "fixed" the transmission problem, Ill start getting it out more often! I just wish my husband would say, "hey, let's take the mustang!" now and then! When I say let's take the mustang, he goes, let's drive it later! argh! I think the furthest I've driven my stang is to the nifty50ees about 20 miles one way and back home. ah sigh ; ) I would however, like to see the twin of my mustang!!!! ; )

I was driving and it went by too fast for me to even try to get a pic.

I wish I could have though. Hmmm, I wonder if your twin frequents this site?

I do think it was a 68 though, as it went by very fast I think I saw the lack of 67 trim behind the door.

If it makes you feel any better Dne...I haven't been driving my Mustang much of late.

If I am lucky I get it out of the garage for a drive about once a week if I take it to work, etc. However, there have been times the last few months where it has sat for several weeks at a time.

Speaking of Nifty 50's....I haven't made it over there since they started back up.

We've been busy the past month with travel, the boys' b-day party and things of that nature.

I thought we were done with their baseball till fall but they want to go try out for a select tournament team this evening.

Seems like it's always something :shrug

Well Rusty, that does make me feel better! We went to several weekends of the nifty50ee's but it became too hot and too crowded. If one doesn't arrive there before 5ish, you'd be driving around looking for a place to park. So we always got there around 4:00!! and sat in the starbucks until the sun went down a bit. So now we'll just have to wait until the next cool front to participate! lol
I will be driving the Mustang over to my moms this afternoon :yah to switch for the '57 Chevy~ I sold it to a guy in Australia :thu! Money is wired in the bank :yah (parts money for the Apache :wor), just waiting for a transport to arrive. So I just need to get it here to tidy it up and load a few things that need to ship with it. Plus the guy(Tony) asked me to pressure wash beneath the fender wells as upon inspection in their port, if there is any mud under the fenders, they charge 2-300 bucks to clean it; environmental reasons I guess. Like I drive any of my classics in a pasture! lol but wouldn't hurt to point a pressure washer under the wells anyway.

Sorry for getting off topic Mel! ; )

When Nifty 50's becomes too crowded I get there late on purpose or leave early if I happen to already be there.

Last time I was there was the end of October and thankfully I got there late and parked on the outskirts. If I hadn't I would have been screwed unless I wanted to stay past the bitter end because they had cars in all the spots plus cars parked two by two in the isles. If someone got there early enough to get a spot they were stuck till a few hundred other folks decided to leave....if the phone rang regarding an emergency at home, etc guess someone would have had to take a cab or something, LOL!

I've been going to a local very informal car group that has a cruise in on Rayford Road on the second and fourth Saturday every month. They get a decent number of cars but not to the point of ridiculous like Nifty's at times. I have not managed to hit that group either however in the last couple of months...I am going to try pretty hard to make it over there on the 11th.

I gave up on The Woodlands car club and didn't even pay my dues this year since they became a joke....
