Mine was doing that last year. It was a loose brake pad.

I am not sure exactly. I had The car in for an alignment at the local shop that does some occasional work on my car said it was a loose disc brake pad and he fixed it while doing the alignment . I don't think he replaced any parts.

Jack the car up under the control arm, turn the wheels left, spin the wheel, and see if you can pin point the source of the noise.
