Christmas wish, need help 'Fixers

Guys and gals, gotta request here. There is a local 6th grader that has leukemia. He is undergoing chemo and will be in the hospital until the first of January. Basically he gets to spend Christmas taking chemo. The information was sent to me y'day and while this is not the only kid/family going through this, his Christmas wish is what jumped out at me. His sole wish for Christmas is to have his hospital room filled with Christmas cards. I've taken some steps through the company to fulfill this wish but thought I could take it to the next level and get that room filled with cards from across the country. If you want to send a card the information is below. Whether you send one or not, remember not only this family but all the families that are going through some tough times.

info:

I'm in. I'll spread the word around me.

Really sad to hear of any kids having to go through this. Keeping his spirits up is the best way to get through it.

Just happen to be headed to the post office this morning to send my WE gift, I'll drop a card in the mail to him.

Email is great for stuff like this.
I passed it on to a bunch of people, who are forwarding it through their workplace.
Have at least a dozen cards coming from Wisconsin so far if everyone follows through.

Awesome. Thanks guys. Kinda puts things in perspective when a kid in his situation wants the simplest of things.

Sending one out tomorrow and also forwarded it to all coworkers, family and friends (yes, I have a few) around the country.

Well , I am in !!!
Will sent/post a Belgian Christmas card !!
I hope it get in time to the Medical Center .

I wrote him a note saying my son in law had that when he was not much older that he is----he is fine now and I am betting he will be also---card goes out tomorrow from Illinois. I also forwarded it to a dozen others stating it was legit please help.
Just printed off a copy for the wife to post at her work, I have spent a Christmas in the hospital---it sucks!

'Fixers this is awesome. I just want to give a little more info because I know there will be some question. As most of you know I work for Krispy Kreme and we do a lot of fundraising with schools. My wife got an email about this kid and forwarded it to me figuring I'd like to get in touch with the school since it is just a couple miles from one of our locations. The email contained the principle's name and I immediately called him. Again, the thing that struck me was the simple request. After speaking with the principle and another teacher I was put in touch with a lady that is close to the family and got some more info. This is 100% legit. Ethan headed back down to WS this morning and will not return home until after the new year. I have a note and cards at both of our locations for our employees and customers to fill out. The response is overwhelming. I've got a few other things I'm gathering together and I will be heading down to the hospital either Monday or Tuesday to hand deliver the cards we have received. In less than a day we're over 100 cards that our customers alone have filled out. The word has gotten out in the area and we've got people collecting cards to drop off at our location. My goal is to walk in that hospital with a box of 500 cards just from his community. That doesn't count any mailings. If all this kid wants is support, he's gonna get it. Rest assured this is real. Thanks again for all the participation. I have never met Ethan but look forward to meeting him next week and will post an update about it.

Re: Christmas wish, need help 'Fixers-UPDATE!!!

I'm heading down tomorrow to deliver cards we've collected from our stores. The community has really rallied around this and has either mailed or dropped off cards for us to deliver. We will be delivering a few hundred. The lady I've been in contact with has said they've been coming from all over the country and this kid feels like a celebrity. (Wait till he gets the overseas cards) At this time, Tues pm, there are over 1,750 cards in this guy's room. How freakin' cool is that. Thank you guys and gals.
