bumper brackets

anybody know if the bumper arms on a 69-70 are supposed to come strait out from the rails? mine are tweaked a little & wasn't sure if they were straight & flat or if they turn in a little. my left one turns in a good bit & the right side is flat.

I assume you are taking about the "c" channel ones that go straight forward and not the "tubular" ones that angle out to under the headlamp. I just peeked under mine and they both look straight, no obvious angle.
