BBF VC's for J's 460

Those are pretty sweet, but look a lot like the ones I have on there right now

Yes but it looks like the ebay ones are held down only by 3 bolts as compared to your 7 bolter. Just 3 bolts?

Hmmmmm....pulled from somewhere.....

The quickest way of differentiating between the different familys of Ford engines is to simply count the valve cover bolts.
2 bolts: 239/256/272/292/312 (produced from 1954 to 1964)
5 bolts: 332/352/360/361/390/391/406/410/427/428 (FE engine)
6 bolts: 221/260/289/302/351W
7 bolts: 429/460
8 bolts: 351C/351M/400

don't you have another BBF also?

Used to, but sold the other 460. Had to make room in the garage! A guy drove over from St. Loius and picked it up. It was a 4 hour drive for him!

I know one thing, these suckers are heavy. I added a support to the balancer because I thought the engine stand was gonna break at any time. I dare not bolt that 90 lb intake on while on the stand.

Trying moving a fully dressed 331 Hemi with the trans attached. Good Lord. I was fearing for my cherry pickers life.

The valve covers alone probably weigh more than a small block Ford!
