Yep....I turned 13 on that day......just old enough to start the drooling, now old enough to continue it.

Good add.....I do remember that one.

Really hard to believe they did only 30 sec. commercials and we still bought things. Now, an hour program for crap....

If my uncle was still with us,he'd tell you that was the ad that got him interested. When the Fastback hit the showroom he was there with cash and drove off the lot in an Ivy Green 2+2 Fastback. I remember that car like it was yesterday. The best part of him owning that car was the fact that my father always had it. Always had an excuse to "borrow" it for a couple of hours which always turned into a couple of days. Lived in Philly as a kid and dad went over and borrowed on day and my uncle told him to leave the keys for his chevy on the fridge in my grandmothers kitchen. We left with the car and the next I knew(I was 6) I was being asked at the border how old I was by the canadien border guards. Once in safely in Toronto my dad called him and told him where we were.He yold my uncle he'd see him in a week. I don't think my uncle was pissed about where his car was, He was more pissed that the old man didn't leave the keys for his car.

My fiance sent me a text yesterday, "Happy Mustang Day!" I sent back, "wish my car ran..." Sunday, when I finally made time to work on the car, I was tearing things out to get the timing cover off and she griped at me because "there's just all this stuff I wanted to do today, why do you have to work on it now? Blah blah blah..." The car's been sitting in the driveway dripping coolant for 4 months because I haven't had time to touch it:-|
