I want to change the needle color in my gauges mounted in the console.

Anyone ever take aa mechanical water temp gauge aprt or have a junk one they can sacrifice? I need to know how to get the lenses out.

Cut the bezel off

Trying to find a way to do it in the car. I don't want to remove the temp probe from the intake. For some reason this car is a MF to get the cooling system bled.

can't be as bad as the mrs' altima. i have to carry it in & have it bled each fall or it doesn't blow any heat during the winter....

The bezel is crimped onto the gauge housing, so its not something you can take off easily. I was quoted by Autometer for about $15 per gauge to have them put a new lens and bezel on, as at that time I was considering adding the triangle indicators like our gauges for the turn signals.

I tried to remove mine and didn't have any luck. Contacted autometer and beuning is correct. They are crimped on. I sent them the gauges and they replaced the bezels & lines. Pretty fast turn around. I had them back within 10 days.
