I am in the process of installing a new 5.0, AOD, and unisteer in my 67. I have researched this subject until my eyes crossed and cannot find the answer. I know I'm probably going to need to run a shortie header to clear the AOD. Can anyone tell me of a header that will fit my combination 5.0,AOD & Unisteer in a 67 combo? Help? Thanks

You should be able to find a set of long tube headers to fit your combination.... FPA immediately comes to mind, but unless you're building a 1/4 mile drag car and are trying to squeeze every last drop of HP out of the engine, I'd take the easy route and install a set of quality shorty headers.
The performance differences between long tube and shorty headers is very minimal, but the fitment issues with shorties is almost non-existant.
Example.... Jason at CR is building the $150k GT500CR.... and it's using shorties.

Thanks for the reply. The car is set up as a driver. I don't plan to race it so the difference between long tube and shorties doesn't matter to me. I'm mostly trying to avoid having to purchase and return multiple sets of headers while searching for a set that suit my application. If someone else has solved the problem and can weight in with a specific header recommendation, it would be appreciated.
