1965/1966 Steering box

Long story short. Is the 1965 and 1966 non-power steering box interchangeable? I think the answer is yes but I want to be 100% sure before I purchase one to get blueprinted.
Thanks, :steer

IIRC The 65, 66 and early 67 are the same. I have an early 67 hanging around in the garage.

just curious, what do you mean "get blueprinted"?

I copied this from a thread on another site. Seeing the guys credentials I felt he explained it much better than I could.

"Most rebuilds are JUNK. The old saying applies- "garbage in garbage out."
Blueprinted boxes are improved in all the areas that the factory Saginaw-
based box is lacking. A properly blueprinted box is many times more accurate
than when the item was brand new.
Key areas- sector shaft to box tolerance, block to sector tolerance/mesh,
ball bearing size, improved lubrication and box sealing and precise pre-load
adjustment."

After a lot of research I am sending mine to Lee Power Steering. I am trying this route before spending thousands on new r & p.

You have done one h... of a lot of work on a beautiful car. Are you saying you want to get rid of yours?

Well, just the steering box.
