When I used to ride motorcycles, they were always yellow, if they were't yellow, I painted then yellow! and the reason was to be seen and my leathers were also yellow accented with a yellow helmet! (sportbikes).  Our cars are all silver and I don't even like silver that much! lol CX9, Subaru Baja, and a '98 rav4. Right, people don't pay attention~ too many distractions these days! And what is the most important reason for accidents, or near accidents~ not paying attention!

The accident that James Dean died was due largely to the angle of the sun to the driver that hit him, in that the sun blinded him.  But you may be right, according to this website: http://crashteams.com/Services/Special-Services/James-Dean/James-Dean-Accident-Reconstruction.html

I remember another website showing a photo at the same date, same time with the sun blinding the driver, but I couldn't find it.

In that link it looks like Dean's car was a right hand drive, but the reconstruction crew is assuming it was left hand drive.  Am I wrong?

If the other driver was traveling eastbound at 5:45 PM the sun would have been behind him.

I wish I could find that website...it was pretty clear that one of the drivers was blinded by the sun.  Of course, I could be full of it as well.

Thanks, Pete.  That site did include the photos I remember.  It was Dean who may have been blinded, plus his car may have been in the dip (and not seen) when Turnipseed began to turn left.
