Welcome to the fix, are you in AZ too, or are you just hanging on to memories like AZPETE?  If so, where abouts, I'm in Tucson.  Maybe we can do our own AZ MITM like the Nor cal guys.

First of all, thank you for the welcome party and thanks to AzPete for inviting me here.  Well, I left AZ when my family moved to IL in the late 80's...here is a brief history:

-Mustang fanatic...started in the early 80's when I saw the cool guys in the movie The Outsiders cruising around in a '65 coupe. So, when I turned 14 (1984), I made up my mind to save up my money to buy a Mustang at 16.
-June 1986, bought my '66...I saw it in a parking lot while driving with my dad on our way to go fishing.
-$1350 dollars bought me:
1966 coupe, C-code, red/white vinyl top (data plate...Silver Frost car), red Pony Interior, factory 8-track, day/nite mirror, dual exhaust, 289 2bbl, AT...
-I worked on it until 1988...my family moved from Scottsdale, AZ to Chicago...worst time of my life.  My car stayed in storage until 2009....due to being in college, graduate school x 2.  I rebuilt the motor in 1995, and then it sat...I had it re-gasketed last year, the engine bay was done, and the C-4 was rebuilt.
-This year, I had the underbody stripped and re-sprayed, I ordered new Tri-Y headers (FPA headers), an Arvinode/Waldron concourse exhaust, new gas tank/fuel line.
NEXT:  front end rebuild, rear springs, steering rebuild (I will probably do Opentracker parts).  My car sounds like it is going to fall apart with every bump...I am assuming there is not one piece of rubber left in the suspension after being in the AZ heat for so many years.
Also: I will probably sell my 3 '66 Styled Steel Wheels and my 2 '67's...I was going to repaint them and use them, but I will probably get new 15x7 SS wheels with new rubber.
...my biggest stress as Pete knows...the stance of the car and the ideal tire choice.

So, there you have it, a brief history.
-AzNick

I would like to keep it pretty stock looking...I have done a few modifications.  Back in 1987, Vintage Ford and Mustang (Phoenix) had original 1967 GT-350 valve covers, intake manifold, and oval air cleaner...so I bought it, which was CHEAP back then.

I will search around here for some pics on ride height/stance, and I will also seek out help with suspension/steering and wheel/tire help.

I have a picture or two c. 1987, but I do not have any new ones.  As soon as I take the drive down to see it, I will take numerous pics.  It is difficult to work on a car that is 2.5 hours away   :wi  it was closer to me...as soon as a few more things are done, I will bring it up and keep it at a friend's house.

Sorry about that.  I try to avoid a lot of the attention by going by "AzNick", but it is still difficult to hide at times on these forums.  My full name is Nicholas Iacocca.
