What the hell is it???

Just replaced my alternator and voltage regulator. Attached to the radiator support behind the voltage regulator was a small round object, 3 inches long and aboub 1/2 inch in diamter with one wire comming out of one end. Looks like a large condensor like the one in the distributor but bigger. Anyone know what the heck this is???

Don't remove it....that holds all the smoke for the electrical system......

It's an RFI, radio frequency interference condenser to keep you from hearing the electrical noises generated through your speakers.
