On the #4 rear port, what is the purpose of the rods welded in an upright position? This is what is on my '66 and the rods on mine go down. Why are they there anyway.......

Just realized what they are. It is for the heat riser system to attach to. It is a tube wrapping around the header pipe. The PO had bent these away from the head. I don't need them but he sure did a stupid thing.

You know what they are? They're attachments for the heat riser system.

With no heater in the car, the wife is ready to have me route it into the passenger compartment. Of course, here in Fl, the heat is only needed for about 20 mins. in the am. lol
