Generally, if they are cut-to-fit, one end (spark plug) is already assembled and you need to cut and assemble the distributor end.  (There should be some instructions to serve as a guide too.) I've done it several times and it's not difficult.  If this is like your set, it should have the dist boots and dist connections uninstalled.  Connect the wire onto the plug and check/measure and mark where you think the dist connection will go, making TRIPLE sure it's not going to be too short.  Remove the wire from the car. I spray copious amounts of WD-40 or other silicone spray inside the new dist boot to lube it to make it easier to slide the angled dist boot over the wire, this can be a PITA.  Slide the boot past your cut mark on the wire then cut off the excess wire/insulation with wire cutters.   I then use a razor blade to carefully trim/strip off approx 3/4"-1" of the insulator to expose the wire.  Bend the wire back over the insulator and crimp the brass fitting onto the wire & insulation.  I use pliers although there are tools for this.  Then spray some lube in the boot again and on the wire to carefully slide the boot onto the terminal.  Push the terminal into the boot as opposed to pulling the wire.  After you do the first one, you'll see it's no big deal. The potential problems you have are cutting the wire too short or pulling the terminal off the wire as it's pushed thru the boot.  If both ends are unassembled, I'd start with the plug end first and then do the dist end.

Good luck.

Cut to fit what will be your longest wires first.... this way if you cut one too short it can be used in a location that will require a shorter wire.

Cut to fit wires are the only way to go.   It eliminates a possible mess of excessive wires.  What gauge did you get?  8, 8.5, 9mm?
