Yeah.... I started drinking ~4PM for our usual Saturday BBQ/Party and forgot all about the draft.....  HTF did I end up with Big Ben as my QB when he can't earn any points for the first 4-5 games due to his suspension?  That's freaking BS.  I had to dump him onto the bench this morning.  Overall though I'm pretty happy with the comptuer pics that I received.  It could have been worse.
I suppose if you miss the draft it helps to have the first pick! :lol

Still have the opportunity for picking up players off waivers or trades.

Depending on what picks the computer gave you.... you may still be screwed!  I wouldn't think the computer would be allowed to pick a suspended player... or one who is recently "out for the season" with a knee injury.  You may want to check your pick's!

I needed a good solid backup for Brett "The Man" Favre, was getting ready to grab Big Ben and you grabbed him right before me. If you can wait until Week 4 or 6 to play him, its a good pick up IMO

Agreed.  My concern was that he was my ONLY QB....  not so great when he'll be sitting on the bench for the first few weeks.

It wouldn't have hurt my feelings Dave.

I have Carson Palmer and Vince Young on the bench, maybe we can work out a trade.

You all seem pretty confident with your pre-season must have guys on your rosters. I've never played fantasy before this but you don't have to be a genius to know that its all those other guys on the roster that make or break you. You need a full team delivering points to win.
With the possible exception of a couple guys at each position you can bet there will be lots of "busts" among all those supposed must have guys. I'll go on record as saying AP will not be one of the top point scoring RBs this year, for example.

Sorry, man. Nothing personal. Just a Bears fan telling it like it is. :)

Seriously though, be wary. Between the fumbles and lack of pass productivity you still have to worry about injury with him. Not too mention he has a QB who thinks he's all that and passes at will.

But he has less and less to pass to these days. AP just might get the ball once or twice this year.

My lead running back is not on the table.  I've never played this fantasy game either, but the way I'm seeing it he should be a big points earner.

Still need a QB though.....

Please correct me if I'm wrong (again, I'm new at this), but it's only your starters that accrue points.... correct?  If I have a player "benched" and he has an awesome game/points, I don't get those points if I didn't have him starting, is that correct?  Can I insert a bench player into an in progress game.  I should probably go read the rules.....

The Vikings just grabbed a couple receivers this week. Anybody with Rice and Harvin need to do some investigating. I think that hip and those migraines are for real.

No, you got it right. Just the starters count and no you can't rotate guys in after the games start. What I mean is you are starting multiple RBs and WRs along with a QB, TE, etc. You need production from all to be on top.

Dave,

I have got Aaron Rodgers as a B/U or maybe Peyton Manning if Aaron keeps playing the way he does. Either way one is going to be riding the pine. What are you willing to sacrifice to gain over 150 points in your QB? :lol
