the Humphugger would still work but it (or any other console) will be so far back that using it for an armrest or cupholders will be for passengers in the rear seat!
I know the old "If it ain't broke.." thing but you could quickly and easily determine if the shifter can move forward just by taking out the screws holding it to the floor. If it looks like a big job, just put the screws back in, if it can move with just drilling a few new holes, you win!
