Just installed driveshaft
« on: July, 06, 2010, 03:51:39 PM »
I just finished installing the driveshaft in my car when my dad pointed out that the axles were spinning without the driveshaft spinning so i spun the driveshaft and the axles were spinning. Is it normal for axles to spin on there own or is something wrong?

yes i realized it when i spun one axle the other one moved the opposide direction so I knew it was fine once I saw that. If the were spinning the same direction I would of had a problem lol

Yes.  You would have had the problem known as "Trac-Lok, Posi-Trac, Equi-Trac, etc."  It's a condition that most people pay a lot of money for in order to gain traction.  Glad you don't have to worry about that.

I just paid a good deal of money for my car to acquire that problem...
