OK, I need to poop or get off the pot regarding new shoes for Shag.  The only thing I am certain about is that I'm going with the very traditional AR's TTD rims.  I'm leaning to 16x8 rims just so I have a better selection of tires as compared to 15's.  Would prefer not to go as big as 17's.

I'm also considering all four tires being the same size instead of fatties in the back.

How about 215x ? x ?

Tire brand-Blackside wall, want to try something different than BFGoodrich which is what we're running on Red.  The car will not be used on the track so what's a good brand?

Craig,

This is just too easy...

Given your penchant for Mustangs and cooking there is only one choice:

-Rory
"I'm not a Mustang expert, but I play one on the VMF StangFix"
69 Mach 1 - 393W - AOD w/4R70W internals - 3500 stall - 3.70 tru-trac - PS w/o air
multi-year rotisserie restoration
It now drives!

Sac69 -All I can say is OMG

Rick - Red is running 205/60/15 in front and 225/60/15 in back.  BF Goodrich TA Radials.

Try them on Shag and see what you think.

I love my 225/60/15s.

edit: but I see you want 16" rims, so...nevermind.

Craig:

I'm running a set of these Yoko S-Drives on Lynn's Passat as well as on the front of the Mustang.  As soon as the rears get closer to the wear bars, I'll be putting them on the rear as well. Mid level performance at a good price.

Size is up to you;  but I think, IMHO, you need Dual RedLine Tires for the "look".

Jeremy, there you go attempting to think.

Decision made:  BF Goodrich GForce as suggested by Dave S.   Size 225/50/16.  Mounted on AR's TTD gray spoke wheels.   Picking them up tonight.

Craig,

Will there be any fitment/clearance issues running a 225/50/16 up front?

As you know, I have 16"x8" rims with a 225/50/16 tires at all four corners.  I went with Falken Azenis RT-615 tires.  These tires are Falken's DOT legal competition tire, but I have a 4k miles on them and they still have a lot of tread.   These tires have amazing dry surface grip and reinforced side walls for lateral load support.  Also, the cost per tire is pretty darn affordable (you can find them online for ~$100 per tire).
