If anybody gets infected by one of these fake AV programs, boot into Safe Mode (usually by tapping F8 during boot), and run a scan with Malwarebytes and/or IObit Security 360. Usually does the trick on the customer PC's that get brought in for cleaning.

Both programs are free. I keep a USB stick with the installers for Malwarebytes & IObit (and a few others) handy.

I noticed that last night.  My anti virus kept blocking it.  I won't go back for a few days so the admins. or gurus can clean it up. :scar

The GURU left the board a while back!
