Got another project done!

Had a set of old greasy valve covers on the shelf.  I hot tanked them (top cover in the picture below). Then covered the fill hole and baffle with a lot of tape and bead blasted them (bottom cover in the picture below).



The aluminum did not look good enough to polish so I painted them and Sanded the ribs out.



I do not have anything to put them on but at least the are not a greasy mess.  What do y'all think?

I wish they would clear rollers.  That is why they were on the shelf.    When I put the roller rockers on my 351, I had to replace these covers.

Personally, I like them better than polished... Nice work!

No Frills 68 Fastback, 302, 4 speed, 9" 3.50 Best run 14.6 in the quarter. I love this car!

Nice work John!  If I'm not mistaken, those are from an '85 Mustang 5.0 with a carb.
