Sluggo is from Sugarland.

Maybe that explains it  :lol

If someone wanted to give me $16k for my V8 car I'd seriously consider it.  I could build another one with change left over at that price.

Never seen it.

Must be the pearl paint that makes it so valuable.

Is that kind of like some people seem to believe painting flames on your car adds 10 - 20 horsepower?

I saw a guy at the car club meet one time that had some pretty crappy car (it was a young guy) who had flames painted onto his valve covers.  My buddy and I had a lot of fun trying to guess how many horsepower that added to his ride :lol

I'd sure like to find out if he gets close to his asking price.  That's what I'd love to ask for my '66, but don't think I'll come close, even though I have close to $25k into the car.

Three years ago with a nice V8 car in my area you could've gotten around $15k.  I not so sure you could right now though...with the economy the way it is there isn't the same market for toys.  Then again, three years ago it was much harder to find one for sale then it is right now also.  Guess when people start getting tight on the money the toys are usually the first thing to go.  Might be a good time to buy and hang on to one for a few years though...
