A new Hare in the rabbit hole.
« on: March, 06, 2010, 01:06:03 PM »
We got a special delivery today.   :ecit

Alaina Renee Hare was born at 5:19am today. She is just a little sprout at 6lb 3oz and 19.5in.

She came out with fluid in her lungs so we have not been able to hold her yet.
She is in the special care unit hooked up to oxygen and an IV.

Wife is doing great. labor was only about 4 hours.

Not the best pictures with everything hooked up to her, but we are waiting for her to start breathing better on her own then we can finally hold her.

Alright congratulations on the new bunny in the nest or whatever a hoard of rabbits are.  :5 The pics look great and sorry to hear that she had some minor issues keeping you from holding her. Just remember you now have to share.  :lol fd

Congrats! They are a lot of work, but more than worth it!

Congratulations.  Our son didn't come home until he was over 6 months old.  Home 2 weeks, and back to the hospital for a couple more months.  LOL

There'll be lots of time for holding later.

In the meantime, congrats!

Now thats great news, but are you sure those are cats?  They Look like Mountain lions.  :lol  Curious minds want to know, how close was the actual day to the dr.'s due day?

:lol :lol They were barn cats that my wife rescued. We suspect that their father was a mountain lion. They over 20lbs and yet one of them is afraid of the baby.

We were 6 days early. The original due date was march 12th but the doctor pushed that back to March 16th.
