If this was only a passworded forum. Yeah numnuts, about 3 years and 1000 miles ago. There's plenty of people here that will fill you in. No reason for me to go into it....I got new parts and you ain't gonna bring me down. I've got the wife and a boss for that.

Yeah. Steve from S'ville still owes me a steak dinner for keeping Johnny and his boys from giving him an Irish whoopin'. I'm dropping the whole car off to him next weekend.

Well, I knew you rebuilt the carb, I wasn't sure about the engine.

Rick, I've had a bent valve, acid bath, and blown head gasket. Jerked the whole thing on the last round. Engine is bored +0.040 with the performer cam, intake (now getting glass beaded), yada yada.

Mark, the wp was one of the items replaced during a bunch of crap and I didn't paint it. Old one is sitting on the shelf but instead of swapping I'm just gonna prime and paint this one with the engine. The discoloration is from...well....you know. Brake mc looks the same way. It's gonna get shot with some black when I recoat the engine bay.

Steve, that is exactly what I'm looking for. That would be sweet.

Jake, I don't know. I was just ordering and ordered the 1.6. Forgot I had thought about the 7's until I opened the package. Oh well, no biggie.

Wonder how long it takes the lexan to get cloudy and crack, like those clear plugs on holley carbs???

Actually more hesitant than anything. I've already decided if I have one more problem I'm yanking the engine/tranny out, getting rid of it and starting a fund for a dressed out 347/AOD with warranty. The car will again sit for years. Ryan, I was taking your advice on the 1.7s but I was on the tech line with many questions and when I got to cs I rattled off the 1.6 p/n. We'll see what happens.

If you figured the head/valve combo with the 1.7's in mind, why not send the 1.6's back and get the right ones?

Will the change create problems? I'm thinking if it was the reverse it would, but I'm not sure. Hopefully someone engine build inclined will chime in.
