I'm waiting until we get it out of the shop to take some full car pictures.  Sunlight always makes the car look better.

Looking good Stan.   What rubber grommets are you using in the doors?  I like that idea instead of the metal caps.

Thanks Paul.  They are some in the grommet kit that all of the vendors have.  I've seen ones painted and chromed and just didn't care for them.  I like the rubber ones because they go with the rest of the rubber things on the door.

Those rubber grommets immediately caught my eye also....

I'm using the metal plugs and I painted them after I was finished painting the car.  The paint didn't bond very well to the plugs and it's starting to flake/peel around the edges.  I like the idea of the rubber plugs much better.  Stan,  what is the PN stamped onto the plug?  I've got a bunch of leftovers from those plug kits and never thought to use them in this locaion.

I love the grille too Stan, it looks great!

Dave, I'll have to get back to you about the PN.  The car's at a friends (Chuck Wilten's) shop.  BTW, they are a perfect fit.  I guess I got lucky on that.

I seem to be cursed when coming up with custom license plates!  About 15 years ago I came up with IMATCHER (I am a teacher) because I teach high school.  After working for a week or so to come up with it and finally putting it on my car, a good friend said "Why did you put 'immature' on my car?"  GRRRRR  Now you've called me satan, which I never saw.   :cry

Leave it on for awhile. Maybe it will scare people off in parking next to you and dinging that devilish red paint job!

That's one nice looking ride - great job

Very nice work there Stan!  I like the up turned tips too.  Let it catch a little rain water and your car will have a cool gurgling sound while running.  Everybody will ask "why does it make that noise."    ;)  j/k.

Are you going to be working on the car Sunday?  If yes, maybe I'll swing by and lend a hand.

Actually, we'll be there Monday.  That would be great if you want to swing by.
