Front wheel stud dimension
« on: February, 01, 2010, 07:59:33 AM »
I need to put in longer wheel studs up front.  There's not enough showing out of the lug nut.  I didn't get them pressed out last night to get the dimensions, so I could order some today.  I'm running a set of SSBC disc brakes up front on 66 fastback.  Does anyone know the length, knurl dimension, and knurl length on the front end?

Thanks

I assume the wheel studs are removable?  I'd measure them myself before I relied on any answer from here.  If they're aftermarket studs with the SSBC rotors there are too many variables to get an accurate answer from any of us.

The knurl diameter is likely 0.674, but I'd pop one out and double check before I bought replacements.

Thanks Dave.  Are you saying that you guys give out bad information??? :lol
I just called SSBC, and the tech didn't have the exact dimension, but they are the stock wheel lug size.  I was hoping to get some ordered today, but I guess I'll be pressin' one out tonight and doing a little measuring.

Not at all, it's just that there are usually enough variables that it's impossible to give the correct answer.  I wouldn't even trust the SSBC tech.

You have to remove them in order to replace them anyway.... pull one out and measure it.

When you get the size you can compare it to the ARP and the ones Cobraautomotive sells (2 sets).
Here's one of the ARP's that CA sells with measurements, they may sell others:

CA pg. 17 or their catalog:
