Can anyone recommend a group 24f battery that is currently available that still has the little lip on the casing for use with a 65/66 hold down clamp? I'd previously read that p/n 6024f at Napa did, but the parts counter guy just looked for me and said that the ones in stock did not.

I have a 24F from Interstate Battery which has the ledge for the factory clamp. Dean

I believe WalMart also carries a 24 battery with the lip. I found mine at a local tire store and snapped it up! They are hard to find.

You can't find them at your local auto parts store? Goes to show you how recent I've looked for one.

Exide makes a 24F that has the hold down ridge AND a flatop so that the faux Autolite cover can be used.

I'll have to look to see if I can find an Exide 24F as I was hoping to use the autolite top cover as well. And no I haven't been able to find one through the other local parts stores, it seems many of the casings on the new 24F batteries use a top battery hold down. Thus there is no need for the lip on the end that I need.
