looks like some nice stuff! finish looks nice too. are those parts painted or powdercoated??

as far as the kitchen table stuff, i guess i've got a keeper. my kitchen table stays covered with freshly painted motorcycle parts most of the time (have a HoC candy green over silver set of sheetmetal along w/ a primary cover off a 1937 knucklehead resting there right now) & she doesn't fuss at all.

Ditto. My stuff is still sitting right where it was in the pic.

The round part of the square shaft that the bearings ride on is offset to match the stock placement of the shaft kit. That's one of the reasons the darn things cost so much to produce .  There is a "Frame Side" - could have called it "Sheet Metal Side" instead.

I was wondering about that, what size is the square stock?  I am still contemplating attempting to making my own...  Also I am assuming that the inner races are clamped by the shaft nuts, which fixes (positionally) the bearings to the shaft, so the outer races must have some small amount to axial play in the arm?  Thanks again for your help...
