engine compartment paint
« on: December, 13, 2009, 07:28:10 PM »
What are you guys using to paint your engine compartment?  i'm not looking for 'correct' i'm looking for something that will look good, be easy to keep relatively clean and possibly easy to touch up if needed.  i don't want to paint it with the body.

thanks

PPG low gloss black  through a spray gun and small craftsman compressor.

I painted mine with Krylon 1613 from Grainger.  I purchased some of the Underhood Black to test with first.  It had a nice finish but I liked the color of the 1613 better.  I've touched up mine in one area and you can't tell at all.

EDIT: Sorry to bring up an older thread.  Thought I was looking at something newly posted.
